Hotel is very well situated to Termini station.
Ivan on reception was very good and helpful.
The bathroom was terrible, bath cabine was destroyed.the room was very little.i had no feeling that i was in hotel,
Awful breakfast, grumpy waitresses in the breakfast room....Sad because it could be a cosy hotel with great location...
The breakfast was not fantastic but ok.
Employees were helpful! Quality of breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed a lot! There was a lift so we didn't have to drag our luggages upstairs. Quite a good news for us! :)
I traveled to Rome with another female friend and the hotel was in a great position from which to explore and offered comfortable accomodation.
We paid extra for the air conditioning as the rooms are very hot and especially needed in the peak summer months.
The only negative I would say is its a shame the hotel dont offer a facility to rent a fridge in the rooms, Although we were offered to keep things in the fridge in reception, bt with the costs in Rome we were making packed lunches to ensure we had the best views during our small amount of sit down time and would have been nice to have cold drinks to come back to.
On the whole woudl recommend the hotel and would stay there again.
Amazing value for money, you couldn't wish for more at that price and in that location. Very clean and nicely furnished rooms (though the bathroom could've been a bit bigger, I guess it's just the way all the buildings in that area were designed). The wi-fi worked properly, the breakfast offered plenty for you to have a good day's start, the reception personnel was extremely helpful and attentive and the city center actually is as close as they advertise, if not closer.
Now, if I had to mention a few negative aspects (even though they are really not that big of a deal and I would gladly stay again in this hotel), they would have to be the breakfast coffee/cappuccino, which were way too diluted (if you like a cup of strong coffee in the mornings you'll have to get it from one of the many bars and restaurants in the area) and the attitude of the breakfast room personnel (they weren't actually rude, but not really nice or attentive either). And yes, the area around the hotel could be perceived as a bit shady by some travelers, but you have to keep in mind that it's around a main central station in a big capital, and these places tend to always be hectic, crowded with all types of people and not very clean. That being said, we have never felt unsafe, there's always plenty of police and travelers around.
To sum up, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is budget-conscious and who doesn't expect Ritz facilities and luxury from a 2** hotel.
The aircon wasn't working and the room was a bit noisy so it was kind of annoying to sleep with the window open. But apart from that, everything was good. Very friendly staff. Very good value for money. Very happy!
Convenient location, clean rooms and friendly& helpfull english speaking staff. Only downside was the lack of warm water in the shower we experienced when showering after 8.30 a.m.
Nothing to add. I was pleased with the stay in the hotel.
The hotel itself and location were great. The customer service was severly lacking. Was given a completely different cancellation policy and were unwilling to let one of our party use a computer to cancel credit cards when her wallet was stolen. Wouldn't even let her use the phone to call them with a toll-free European number.
Actually I already recommended this hotel to friends for their upcoming trip to Rome.
When we visit Rome again we also will go back to hotel RomAntica.
Ciao! See you soon.
My husband and I used this hotel as a much belated honeymoon. We stayed for five nights and was not disappointed in our expectations having looked at the online pictures.
After reading previous opinions I was concerned about the breakfast staff attitudes. I am pleased to reveal that my experience of these staff is that they were very professional, polite and friendly and the extent of our Italian is Ciao and Grazie.
As described on other feedback forms this hotel was perfectly located for the many sights, rail and Metro. I appreciated the separate cost of air conditioning as this explains the very affordable rates and we didn't feel the need to use air con despite coming from the UK and average temperatures of 34 degrees in July.
I really cannot fault this wonderful little hotel. Although, if really pushed, I would say that the bin men are very noisy at around 4am but only woke us on two mornings. However, please bare in mind that as we opted out of using the air con we had our windows and shutters open.
Hotel staff were very enthusiastic and helpful. They were proud of their hotel which was evident in the way they treated their visitors. Eating recommendations were excellent. An enjoyable stay.
It was a very unpleasant surprise when we were informed at our arrival (it was very hot) that we had to pay an additional price for the air conditioned: 10 euros per room and night.
Since the room faced a backyard it was quiet enough to sleep, but the rooms facing the street were very noisy. The room was very small.
The breakfast served is really too simple as compared to our stay in Venice & Milan hotels, more varieties will be better.
Volveriamos a este hotel
The rooms are very small and the breakfast very basic. We asked the reception for restaurant recommendations and he said that it wasn't his job to suggest a restaurant! Very close to the main Rome Termini Station which is great for travel around Rome.
We had a lovely time at Hotel Romantica.
Thank You!
This hotel was a pleasant surprise.
It's located within a 5 minute walk of the Rome train station but in a safe, well maintained tourist area.
The room was clean and suprisingly large. It was nicely decorated and the bathroom (Shower only, no tub) had been recently refurbished.
The room was reasonably quiet with insulated windows but it is situated on a main street so noise can be an issue if you are a light sleeper.
The breakfast was a buffet and perfectly acceptable if uninspired.
The staff at the desk were polite and helpful. They even let me use their internet connection to check my flight.
For the price I found this to be a terrific little hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.
Our room was very very small and dark but clean.Bathroom also clean. Breakfast poor (1 roll per person, butter, jam, a croissant per person, very light coffee, tea, orange juice), however enough to start tha day with BUT hotel is in great location!I guess they have bigger and nicer rooms, too. The rooms facing the room are very noisy.
All in all it's perfect for those who spend the rest of the day in the city and go back to the hotel to sleep. We paid 55 euros for a night in the middle of January which is a great value (weather was lovely, always sunny, no rain, about 15 celsius degrees).
Really small tables at the bar for having breakfast.
Cheap for what you get. Nice, clean room, simple but good breakfast, friendly people, situated near busstop from airport and near the centre of the city.
We didn't use the hotel very much. We went out early in the morning and came back late night. We slept well and it was clean, exactly what we wanted. Saftebox in the room. We didn't like breakfast but if you are satisfied with coffe, juice and a sandwich with jam it is all right. It also includes a croissant in a plastic bag.
The hotel was perfect and in an good pricerange. The location was great and within walking distance to the attractions. Being close to the Termini-station, transportations was only a quick 2 min walk from the hotel. Here we could take the Metro to all interesting places in Rom .. And for only €1.
Not if . .but when we go back to Rom. We would like a room at the same hotel.
A pleasant stay. Our room was a bit small and no drawers for clothes (but a wardrobe). Breakfast staff weren't too friendly but reception were, and very helpful. We wuld use the hotel again
Breakfast is very simple because most of the tourist are foreigners. could be more.
And the quality of employees at breakfast is bad. They are unfriendly, not interested in the guests and give no service. If you are not leaving the breakfast room at 09.30h than you have to go because time is over!!
Excellent hotel to stay with two little children! Very friendly service, comfortable rooms, elevator, very central.
All services and others was all right. Breakfast was sufficient. This hotel is in the centre of rome and from hotel is very good availability to most of historical monuments by foot.
Excellent hotel, clean and comfortable, the staff was helpful and the location is really good!!
Only thing I didn't like that there was no shampoo in the room, had to go to the farmacy and buy one. Also the breakfast was poor, I would never pay 10 euros for it, good thing is that if you book through Unitravel it is free, otherwise spend your money somewhere else.
We were extremely pleased with the room, its size, modern bathroom facilities and cleaniness! And the location is priceless. It is 2 very short blocks from Termini which is the hub for all locations! We never had to transfer trains or buses as we boarded at the start. All Rome attractions were within 10 minutes (2 stops) on the metro. We were able to do Trevi for tea, the Colosseum for dinner, and easily stop at the hotel to freshen up. There were several good eating places within a couple of blocks of the hotel, a grocery around the corner, and Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica 2 short blocks away. We could hear the bells!
This is a great little hotel that I would certainly recomend as it is very handy to the main railway staion and close to some interesting land marks and you dont have to climb up and down hills to get to it, there are plenty of good eating places around the area
including the one next door and the rate is very reasonable for what you get.
Very clean hotel, staff very pleasant and English speaking. In good location, only a minutes walk from the Termini from where you can access the metro to get around the city or the train to the airport. No safety concerns with the area despite what I had read online. If I was to return to Rome I would definitely stay here again.
Very close to train station and metro though the Colosseum was close by too. We used the metro because we had the pass, but walking was pretty easy. We used the small grocery store nearby as well. Staff was extremely friendly and room was very clean. Pleasantly surprised with this hotel.
Very nice and helpful staff, if i went to Rome, i´d choose hotel RomAntica again!! I can certainly advise it to all!
